Ruils Movefest returns to Bushy Park on 4 October — all abilities welcome

30 July 2026 · By Boroughly editorial — AI-assisted, human-reviewed.

Ruils Independent Living is hosting its Movefest accessible challenge event in Bushy Park on Sunday 4 October, open to participants of all ages and abilities.

Walkers, wheelchair users, scooter riders and runners can choose between a 1km or 4.5km route through the park, completing the course at their own pace to raise funds for Ruils' services supporting disabled people across the Richmond borough.

After the challenge, there will be festivities including face painting and live music. Participants are welcome to bring a picnic, or food will be available to purchase on the day. The event is sponsored by Pinnacle Plumbing and The Pantry, Teddington.

Ruils provides a range of independent living services — from information and advice to direct support — for disabled residents and their families in Richmond and Wandsworth. Movefest is one of its main annual fundraising events and is designed from the outset to be fully accessible, making it a genuinely inclusive option for families who sometimes find charity events difficult to navigate.
