A free afternoon celebrating the autumn harvest is coming to Habitats & Heritage's community garden on Grimwood Road, Twickenham, on Sunday 20 September from 1pm to 3pm.
The Grimwood Garden Harvest Festival is a family-friendly event with a relaxed, community feel. Expect seasonal produce, children's activities and a chance to meet neighbours who share an interest in growing things. It is the kind of afternoon that suits all ages — whether you are a seasoned gardener or simply curious about what has been growing on Grimwood Road all summer.
The community garden is run by Habitats & Heritage, the local conservation and community charity that also manages the Green Hub at Raleigh Road Recreation Ground. Their events tend to be informal and welcoming, so there is no need to book ahead — though it is worth checking their latest updates in case details change closer to the date.
Note that the event runs in the early afternoon, so it fits neatly into a Sunday without swallowing the whole day.
More information about the festival is available on the council's events page.
